Horse riding in
the Daintree is an exciting and adventurous way to see how the amazing
Daintree rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef, as you ride your horse
through the lush rainforest and end up on Myall beach.
Cape Tribulation Horse Rides goes out
for a horse ride each morning and each afternoon, they offer free transfers
from the Cape Tribulation accommodation houses at either 8 am or 1.30pm,
if you are not staying in Cape Tribulation but in Cow Bay, Daintree
Village or elsewhere in the Daintree then you will need to make your
own way here.
The free transfer bus will take you to the stables where you will be
matched with a horse that suits your riding ability and be given instructions
on how to ride.
Then you will ride your horse through the lush Daintree rainforest and
cross several beautiful creeks on your way to pristine Myall Beach for
a beach ride with magnificent views of the ocean and Cape Tribulation.
On the way home to the stables along the rainforest trails there will
also be some open grass land where the more experienced riders will
have the opportunity to trot and canter.
Before you book
your horse riding tour please take a few moments to think about
what your riding ability is.
The horse ride tour operators stress the point that you should not overexaggerate
your riding ability as it may reduce your enjoyment of the ride and
can also lead to dangerous situations and injuries.
C - Complete beginners with no riding
experience, riders who have ridden 30 times or used to ride years ago,
riders with some experience but who are not confident trotting, cantering
or controlling a horse.
B - Riders who have ridden at least
30 times, riders who are confident controlling a horse.
A - Riders who are absolutely confident
with every aspect of riding, have several years experience, and continue
to ride frequently.

tour is 13 years.
